Borders and Mulch
While most of our customers place their playset on grass or a natural area others opt for borders and mulch. For residential settings we recommend our six foot recycled rubber borders. We are able to shape them around your playset which provides a more aesthetically pleasing finish and if your child falls on them they provide a softer landing than your traditional wood borders. For commercial settings where you need deeper mulch due to fall height requirements our 8 inch plastic borders work perfect. With either border option we offer either playground safe wood mulch or rubber mulch. The wood mulch will be less expensive but will require replenishing and refreshing over time as it compacts and deteriorates. The rubber mulch while more expensive up front is a better long term option. It also comes in a variety of colors like brown, red, blue, green and black.
Deluxe Tune Up
Keeping stain on your playset is important as it serves to protect it from the sun which over time will cause it to fade. Stain also prevents splintering and keeps your playset looking good. While your set comes stained, typically, after the first year it will need more stain especially on the high traffic areas like ladder steps, climbing walls and decks. Normally, after that first re-staining if will last much longer but is dependent upon how much direct sunlight it gets and how many kids play on it. We sell the stain for those that prefer to do it themselves or we also offer a Deluxe Tune Up.
It is also important to tighten the bolts on your playset a few times a year, especially, the swing hangers as they will become loose over time due to use and changes in the weather and humidity. We encourage before each play season you review the set for any issues like loose bolts or damage to the set. While your set includes a lifetime warranty on the wood it will form cracks over time which is normal. This is often referred to as checking and occurs as the wood contracts and expands due to the weather. We typically recommend if you can stick the side of a nickel in the crack then perhaps it may be more structural, otherwise it will likely close back up.

The service includes power washing the entire set and accessories and tightening all the bolts and then our technicians hand stain the set. Moves and Tear Downs
Life happens and when it does be sure to give us a call. Most all of the products we sell can be moved. So if you are moving across town or needing an in yard move give us a call. We can also move your playset, basketball goal or trampoline if you sell to someone else. We encourage you to call well in advance as our schedules book out especially in peak seasons. Moving to a different state? Our installers can safely disassemble your product and stage it for the movers to load. If your children outgrow your set and you just want to have it taken down then we can also provide that service. Sometimes we can even assist in finding a new home for it if we know someone that is looking for a well cared for playset.
